One Chief Instructor(Marine Engineer) in the Central Institute of Fisheries, Nautical and Engineering Training(CIFNET), Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture.
Qualifications :
Essential :
- A. Educational : Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent or MOT Class II or 1st Class Engineering (Motor Certificate of competency issued by the Ministry of Transport, Govt. of India.
- B. Experience : Seven years’ experience in operation / maintenance of Marine Engine or three years’ experience as a Chief Engineer or five years’ as second Engineer of an ocean going vessel. Desirable : Experience of imparting training relevant to educational qualification under “ B : Experience ” above.
- Figures in bracket at the end of the pay scale indicate the approx total emoluments(per month) excluding TA and HRA at the minimum of the scale
- Rs.15600-39100+Rs.6600 (Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.29970) Group ‘A’ Gazetted for the post at S.No.1 above
NATURE OF POST :
- Posts are permanent
AGE LIMIT AS ON NORMAL CLOSING DATE :
- Not exceeding 40 years for the posts
- N.B. : The age limit shown against all Sl.Nos is normal age limit. The age is relaxable for SC candidates upto 5 years & upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME. Duties :
- Training operatives in Marine Engineering subjects like Marine Engg. Workshop Technology, Electrical Technology and other relevant subjects. Supervision of activities of the Engg. Workshop, Maintenance of Fishing vessels, assistance to Director on technical matters. To drive suitable substitutes for parts of engine of foreign origin and available indigenously. To plan and execute the work connected with the repairs of the fishing vessels as required. To attend to any other responsibilities assigned by superiors. HQ : With all India transfer liability. The present vacancy is at Chennai.
NOTE :
